Following its acquisition of cyber security specialists XM Cyber at the end of last year, Schwarz Group is now rolling out their offering on a broad front in the European market. In doing so, the Group responds to recent international calls and efforts from politicians for improving digital security in both the business world and the public sector.

Hacker attacks and cyber criminals have turned into an ever-present threat to companies and administrative authorities alike, with global cyber-crime costs rising at an annual rate of
15 percent and projected to top USD 10 trillion by 2025. The trend means that companies of all sizes, as well as providers of critical infrastructure and public sector authorities, are under constant threat from ransomware strikes, disruptions on websites and communication devices as well as targeted attacks on IT weak spots.

“The acquisition of XM Cyber shows that the Schwarz Group has wasted no time in responding to the increased cyber threat level. What we are seeing is that XM Cyber customers have the edge in cyber security on account of the unmatched protection offered by this technology”, says Rolf Schumann, CEO of Schwarz Digital. “As a result, we are now launching this offering on a large scale in the German and European markets."

In addition, XM Cyber today announced the acquisition of Cyber Observer. Also based in Israel, Cyber Observer offers a platform for cloud security and monitoring that optimally complements XM Cyber's existing offering. This means a consistent further development of XM Cyber's cyber security suite.

XM Cyber is changing the way state-of-the-art organizations approach cyber risk. “The solution offered by XM Cyber enables organizations to examine their IT infrastructure, fully automatically and around the clock, through the eyes of a potential attacker and thus identify weak spots before being caught out. No matter if on-premise systems or hybrid cloud services are being used, XM Cyber exposes and eliminates the potential paths of attack”, explains Christian Müller, CEO of Schwarz IT, in a comment on the offering’s applications. Continuous monitoring of XM Cyber’s technology by the renowned Fraunhofer Institute, the world’s leading organization for applied scientific research, testifies to the offering’s unsurpassed quality.

"Given the dramatic increase in global cyber risks, security in this realm is more important than ever. Our move clearly shows our dedication to taking our digital offering to the next level”, comments Rolf Schumann.

Fresh calls for new cyber security measures as part of a joint initiative by governments and businesses have been issued not only by German politicians, but also by the G7 digital ministers, who recently met in Düsseldorf.

“Today, technology from XM Cyber is protecting the infrastructure of Schwarz Group. This ensures that our systems are always one step ahead of potential attackers. In future, STACKIT cloud customers too will be able to benefit from the unmatched security offered by XM Cyber”, adds Christian Müller.
